Online PR News – 30-May-2014 – LONDON – Forever the lucky ones, we at Spun Candy had the absolute privilege this week to feature as part of the Reveal Fashion Awards at the renowned DSTRKT in London. The Awards were held at the chic celeb hangout on Tuesday Night and were both a pleasure to be part of and fantastic fun too.
We were invited by our friends at Hearst Magazines, the UK’s largest Digital Publisher. We have worked in the past with Hearst on a number of projects, providing delicious treats for other extravagant events that included the ‘Inside Soap Awards’ for Inside Soap magazine, the ‘Bravest Awards’ for Best magazine and Cosmopolitan’s ‘Woman of the Year’. Hearst are a fabulous company who have been huge advocates of Spun, with their Digital and Events Project Manager, Liz Cole, keen to highlight the quality of our products, our dedication to bespoke branding and what absolute stars our team were at the event itself.
As you would expect from the glamorous DSTRKT, this fabulous event was attended to by celebrity guests and clients from across the industry. As a place that is famed for catering for expensive tastes, it was no wonder that so many celebs were so eager to play a part. TOWIE stars Billie and Samantha Faiers were big winners on the night, as well as Gemma Collins for her fabulous curvy fashion line. All were glamorously dressed and equally keen to get their hands on our candy delights. Top industry awards went to New Look, Top Shop, Boohoo and ASOS, along with many other high end brands with global recognition. It was certainly a night we will never forget and we have definitely got a taste for the celebrity lifestyle!
The event was sponsored by Pro:Voke Touch of Silver, the hair care range for both Blonde Bombshells and Silver Vixens. They provided for an incredible event and a lot of credit must go to them too. They made sure to keep up a fantastic Social Media campaign throughout the build-up and after the event was finished, linking to pictures and the Reveal Magazine website for all the info on the night.
Spun’s role in all this was both as excited visitor and a Hearst marketing tool. In each goody bag that was given away at the event was a pair of Spun’s purple lips, a tasty and creative way to grab people’s interest. As a technique we have used before we know that these lips get a frenzied reaction and so were proud to supply them to firstly such an esteemed client, but also at such a prestigious occasion as well. We hope that this is just one of many more award shows we visit and that Spun’s Corporate Candy is delighting both clients and their audience for many more events to come.
