The World's First Sci-fi, Science, and Fantasy Tropical Vacation Convention.
Online PR News – 26-May-2014 – WAIMEA, Hawaii – HawaiiCon organizers have gathered some of the biggest celebrities from the science, sci-fi, and fantasy community to vacation with attendees on the Big Island of Hawaii September 14, 2014 at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel.
The Big Island is one of the Pacific’s most diverse landmasses, containing four of the Earth’s five major climates and 10 out of the 13 sub-zones. Because it is so diverse, each location on the island offers a unique experience. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the island with their favorite stars as part of HawaiiCon’s Adventure With The Stars program.

· Take a stargazing tour to the top of Mauna Kea with Colonel Tigh from Battlestar Galactica

Attendees can expect star-filled panels with guests from hit series Star Trek, Game of Thrones, Battlestar Galactica, Babylon 5, Stargate Atlantis, and more. Science panels include Bobak Ferdowsi, a.k.a. “Mohawk Guy” from NASA’s Mars Curiosity mission and Sci-fi Science Consultant Mika Mckinnon, whose most well-known collaboration was with the Stargate franchise.
The convention venue for HawaiiCon 2014 is the beautiful Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. Located on 1,839 acres of oceanfront paradise is the crescent shaped, white sand Hapuna Beach where attendees can take a dip in the clear, blue ocean at any time.
“We are dedicated to making HawaiiCon an intimate convention experience where celebrities, scientists, and fans come together to share our island home,” said CEO GB Hajim. “Being part of the HawaiiCon Ohana will guarantee an excellent vacation full of the fan experiences attendees love without the hassles of crowds and lines.” Attendance will be limited to the first 2,500 registrants.
HawaiiCon is a non-profit organization whose mission is to increase public awareness of science, the science fiction genre, and mythologies, past and present, which guide humanity. HawaiiCon will emphasize education and uniquely Hawaiian contributions to science, including navigation and ensure that Native Hawaiian culture is accorded an honored place in the conversation of science and science fiction.
