May 13, 2014 – D3 is proud to announce the start of The D3 Really Big Loser Competition, which is designed to promote fitness in Chicago and the surrounding areas through a fun and exciting weight loss challenge. This competition is D3's version of the hit television series, The Biggest Loser, with a few carefully crafted modifications that help it become as effective as possible in terms of getting people to jump start their fitness journey in a mere 30 days.

The program aims to promote weight loss in Chicago by creating a fun and exciting competition that lasts 30 days and is designed for all fitness levels. Dre Nichols-Everett, the CEO of D3 and creator of this program, wanted to offer participants an alternative to the typical weight loss challenge. Dre really believes in the program and says, " people want to have fun while they lose weight so I created fun team challenges and competitions to keep participants engaged and excited about winning the title and losing the weight! This challenge is actually a fun way to drop some extra weight!"

When people enter into the The D3 Really Big Loser Competition, they will be given a nutrition plan that they will have to follow for a full period of 30 days. All entrants are separated into one of two teams. One of the two teams will get bragging rights with regards to having collectively lost the most weight. The participant from either team that loses more weight than anyone else over the 30 day period will win a variety of different prizes.

The D3 Really Big Loser Competition is also made up of mini-competitions, challenges and more types of fun activities that participants will engage in over the 30 day period. The idea is to promote weight loss in Chicago and fitness in general by creating a fun and exciting competition that people can get involved in and look forward to attending on a weekly basis.

The next D3 Really Big Loser takes place from May 18 to June 18, 2014. The deadline to register for the upcoming challenge is May 16, 2014. Dates for the orientation, initial weigh-in and nutrition sessions are Thursday, May 15th at 8:00 PM or Saturday, May 17th at 11:00 AM. Registrants only need to attend one of the two session dates.

The initial sessions are one of the most important parts of The Really Big Loser Competition. During these initial sessions, the D3 fitness professionals will take the participant’s initial weight, give them a 30 day nutrition plan, and provide a full orientation program that includes all of the rules of the weight loss competition that must be followed.

Final weigh-in dates for the 2014 Really Big Loser Competition are still to be announced. The “End of the Competition” Ceremony is June 21st at 12:00 PM. Awards for the competition will be given out at this time and participants will be celebrated for having undergone a weight loss challenge in Chicago and for all the success that entails.
