Global Knowledge UK acquires Partnership Development Solutions Ltd

Major IT training provider increases the scope of services for clients with the purchase of award winning Apprenticeship and talent development company.

Online PR News – 14-May-2014 – Wokingham – Global Knowledge UK, a leader in IT, best practice and business skills training, has acquired Partnership Development Solutions Ltd (PDS), the established provider of Apprenticeship and talent programmes for corporate blue chip clients.

“We are very pleased to bring the PDS capabilities and expertise into our business” said Allan Pettman, UK Managing Director at Global Knowledge. “The marketplace for the provision of managed and quality apprenticeship programmes is growing significantly in both the corporate and small medium enterprise markets. This acquisition represents a great opportunity to add scale and depth to our extensive vendor offerings with the development of an innovative portfolio of apprenticeship programmes. Global Knowledge will benefit from leveraging the experience and personal reputation of an organisation that has successfully focussed on employer based talent programmes and has been recognised by establishments like Chartered Institute of Personnel Development”, Pettman concluded.

Global Knowledge will maintain the PDS brand and the two organisations will work together to take advantage of the synergies and customer opportunities that exist in bringing the businesses together.

"It is a pleasure to become part of the Global Knowledge organisation, it is clear that their passion for learning and development is culturally aligned to that of PDS” said David Willett, Director of Education and Talent at PDS. “This move creates great opportunities for both existing and prospective clients. Firstly, it gives PDS access to a large portfolio of high quality content as well as access to a wealth of subject matter expertise and vendor based materials. Additionally, we can now integrate the many tools and delivery methods, including the award winning virtual interface (V&C Select), within client ‘apprentice’ solutions in the pursuit of offering greater choice and flexibility which we recognise is as important as quality for some customers”, Willett added.
