Free SharePoint Event to be Held at Hilton LAX on September 18, 2010

Online PR News – 22-July-2010 – – LOS ANGELES, CA – July 21, 2010: On Saturday, September 18th, the Los Angeles SharePoint community will come together to provide a free, day-long event around Microsoft’s fastest selling product in history – SharePoint. Attendees can join SharePoint architects, developers, administrators, branders, and other professionals that work with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 to hear from experts and MVPs speak on various SharePoint best practices, including:

• Metadata and taxonomy management
• Social computing
• Migration and upgrade
• Business intelligence
• Design and layout
• Enterprise content management
• Workflow, Web Parts, and other SharePoint solutions
• Enterprise Search
• Cloud computing and hosting
• Project Management

SharePoint Saturday Los Angeles will feature over 30 individual sessions, as well as participation from the Los Angeles SharePoint User Group (LASPUG) and the newly formed Women in SharePoint (WiSP) organization. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and there will be various prizes and giveaways throughout the day.

The event will be held at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport at 5711 West Century Blvd. in Los Angeles. While the event is free, registration is required as space is limited, and is available online at http://spsbla.eventbrite.com
