U2’s global tour on the back of their latest album, No line on the Horizon, brings the band and their massive following to Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadium on 30 August.
Online PR News – 21-July-2010 – – Hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues in Vienna are preparing for an onslaught of U2 fans for the world’s best loved band’s concert at Ernst Happel Stadium. Fans are likely to find a lack of hotel rooms if they don’t book well in advance.
The gig is expected to be fully booked, with the stadium able to hold 49,000 people. The show is part of the band’s global tour, with their latest release tweaking their sonic blueprint in a highly successful way.
The stadium is set to the east of downtown Vienna, close to the Danube River and is easily accessible by public transport for fans unlucky enough to have been unable to book rooms in nearby hotels. DirectRooms.com warns that Vienna hotels near the venue will be fully booked long before the event kicks off.
As the US section of the tour was postponed due to Bono’s emergency surgery, huge demand for the unchanged remaining dates is expected, with tickets and packages available by clicking on the tickets link on the band’s website. U2 Live in Europe dates are set to become unmissable.
Booking a hotel within walking distance of the venue is made easier by early booking.
DirectRooms.com’s marketing head, Lek Boonlert, comments, “Although Vienna boasts many hotels, an event of this importance will attract many thousands of visitors to the city.”
