ABOUT UNIVERSAL DOMINO FEDERATION
Mr. JR Moret founded Universal Domino Federation (UDF) for the sole purpose of providing a positive platform for the game of Dominoes. UDF will be the first official gaming Association in the United States that will provide support and services for skilled domino players in the world, a place for players to test their expertise but most important a platform to legitimize the game to the level it deserves in the competitive sports world and to the world wide audience.

JR’s passion for dominoes started as a young child and has stayed with him throughout adulthood. “I first learned to play dominoes in school and it totally intrigued me and definitely helped me to learn and love math.” JR recognized the need to offer young people an opportunity to have fun without the influence of drugs and violence. “ I know coming from the world of entertainment and music that often times our inner city youth are sent the wrong messages through violent films and music that pushes their inner spirit to act out against others. “I want to bring a different vision to our young people of all races and I hope to start a precedent by bringing my favorite game to my beloved city of Los Angeles with Domino Fest 2014.” Domino Fest will be working with In His Hands Ministry, a 501c3 Non Profit Organization, tax ID number 11-3730593 in collaborating to make the event a success.

With this passion and love for Dominoes, JR knew he wanted to bring a fun event for the entire family to the city; and then take Domino Fest to other cities around the United States and the World. Today Dominoes is played all over the world by both children and adults and is a big part of many cultures crossing socio and economic barriers. It is emerging as one of the fastest growing games in the world. The Universal Domino Federation (UDF) is the bridge and major link that will bring the elite players to the attention of the world regardless of age, race or gender.

At Domino Fest 2014 the UDF will pay tribute the top ten players in the United States bestowing on them the prestigious UDF Awards Plaque; and every year UDF will scour the globe to find the best top 10 players worldwide.

About Dominos
Dominoes are believed to have originated in China in the 12th century, though Egyptian or Arabian origins are also theorized. Dominoes appeared in Italy in the early eighteenth century, and spread to the rest of Europe throughout the remainder of the 1700's, becoming one of the most popular games in both family parlors and pubs alike. Tile games have been found in China as early as 1120 CE. Some historical accounts have traced evidence of the existence of the pieces, way back to a soldier-hero named Hung Ming (181-234 CE). Other historians believe that Keung T'ai Kung, in the twelfth century BCE had created them.
