Online PR News – 19-April-2014 – New York City, NY – Watchtime.com, the website of America’s best-selling watch magazine, WatchTime, presents seven of the world's most expensive luxury watches over $1 million:
This unique list of amazing timepieces includes:
Vacheron Constantin Tour de I’Ile, a limited edition watch of only seven pieces, which celebrated the brand’s 250th anniversary. It has two faces to make room for its many displays, including a second time zone, perpetual calendar, and sunset time indicator.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Hybris Mechanica à Grande Sonnerie consists of 1,300 parts which makes it capable of playing the entire Big Ben chiming sequence. It was released as part of the Hybris Mechanica 55 trilogy, a trio of watches that comprised 55 complications altogether.
Greubel Forsey’s Art Piece 1 has one particular standout feature: the nanosculpture by artist Willard Wigan in the crown. The Art Piece 1 also has an inclined tourbillon.
A. Lange & Soehne's Grand Complication features a grand sonnerie and petit sonnerie in addition to a minute repeater, a monopusher chronograph with a split-seconds function and jumping seconds, and a perpetual calendar with a moon-phase display.
The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Quatuor has a case made entirely of silicon (according to the brand, the first such watch of its kind), a material with half the weight of titanium and four times the hardness.
