GLA University organizes a health awareness camp

The pharmacy specialist enlightened the people on the side effects of medicines. The specialist examined the blood pressure, blood count, weight, height, body-mass ratio and the hemoglobin level for school teachers, students and workers.

UP – 16th April 2014 – The pharmacy department at GLA University Mathura organized health awareness camps at different places to educate the masses on the importance of a healthy society. Scientists explained the need to keep the environment clean in order to avoid diseases.

The pharmacy specialist enlightened the people on the side effects of medicines. The specialist examined the blood pressure, blood count, weight, height, body-mass ratio and the hemoglobin level for school teachers, students and workers. They were educated on how then could avoid blood and heart related diseases. GLA University Professor Jitendra Kumar and Bhupesh Seniwal addressed the students and explained the procedure of how drugs affect our body. “If we do not get relief after taking a particular medicine, we should immediately consult a doctor. The doctor needs to examine the medicine and prescribe another medicine that suits your body type” said Professor Jitendra Kumar and Bhupesh Seniwal.

Professor Shruti Tandon and Sonia Sharma participated actively in the camp. They educated the masses on different type of diseases and suggested necessary precautions on avoiding them. It is equally important for a person have a peaceful mind and a healthy diet. “In case of infections and diseases, medicines should be taken only after consulting a doctor. No medicine should be taken without prior doctor consultations. Blood pressure and heart related ailments are getting very common in today’s time. We all should take some precautions to avoid the same” said Professor Tandon.

Professor Sonia Sharma praised GLA University for organizing the camp. “GLA has given the society the best engineering professionals. Along with maintaining the quality of education, GLA encourages its students to participate in different camps and seminars. It is commendable that GLA has taken a step to spread such an important message amongst the masses” said Professor Sonia Sharma.
