NFC Near Field Communication Accelerator Companies to Hold Investor Showcase in Dallas
8 April 2014
OTA Ventures today announced its inaugural AccelerateNFC™ seed accelerator class will be hosting an Investor Showcase on April 15, 2013, in Dallas, Texas. The AccelerateNFC program is designed to nurture, mentor, advise and help fund NFC-based start-up companies to increase application development and enable businesses to drive the growth and adoption of near field communication (NFC). According to Robert P. Sabella, CEO and co-founder of AccelerateNFC, the seed accelerator is mentoring companies that are developing very exciting applications of NFC technology. "Our inaugural class participants — inProximity, TapSpaces and True Mileage — are dynamic examples of NFC companies at the forefront of innovation and technology. These companies are using NFC creatively to develop breakthrough real-world uses including in-vehicle data capture to cut insurance rates, video, board games and educational products that bridge the real and digital world, hyper-localized information that supports local businesses, and interaction-based marketing.” "Our AccelerateNFC startups are already meeting with investors and are in discussions about funding their deals. This event is an opportunity for investors to learn more about our companies and their potential in the marketplace," added Sabella. "Don't miss this chance to hear pitches from some of the latest entrepreneurs in the NFC space." The investor showcase event will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Central, at the Italian Club of Dallas, 14865 Inwood Rd., Addison, TX 75001. Investors interested in attending should visit or contact for more information. The AccelerateNFC program, which began on January 21, 2014, includes intense training on entrepreneur goals, product development and market sizing, research and development, channel strategies and sales, marketing, and operational requirements for running a successful business. In addition, participants learn the key strategies for building investor confidence. Details on the current class can be found at:
