Peckforton Castle is reporting a very successful launch of its new £1.7 million facilities, which include ten additional en-suite bedrooms, the 2010 Brasserie and beauty treatment rooms Tranquility at Peckforton Castle.
Online PR News – 19-July-2010 – – Award winning Cheshire hotel Peckforton Castle now offers even more magic with the addition of ten opulent en-suite bedrooms following a £1.7 million investment programme, which also includes the brand new 2010 Brasserie at Peckforton Castle and luxury beauty treatment facility Tranquility at Peckforton Castle.
Located in a formerly unused part of this Grade I listed building, the ten beautifully decorated en-suites, fit for kings and queens, comprise one luxury suite, one de-luxe room, three four poster bedrooms and five executive rooms and all opened for business on 2 July.
Much care has been taken to ensure that the sumptuous rooms retain many of the Castle’s original features such as exposed sandstone walls, tall windows overlooking the hotel grounds or the stunning Cheshire Plains, fireplaces and incredible vaulted ceilings that now display decadent chandeliers.
The historical original features blend seamlessly with the modern comforts of easy lift access to all new rooms, induction loops, complimentary Wi-Fi, flat screen televisions with Sky, luxury hospitality trays from Cafe du Monde, toiletries by Thierry Mugler, robes and slippers, plus the usual telephones, hairdryers, irons and ironing boards.
Peckforton Castle managing director Chris Naylor comments: “Guests will be wowed by the new rooms. The individual styling perfectly complements the original features creating a real sense of history and modern majestic flair. They ooze opulence and are so inviting and comfortable I’m sure guests won’t want to leave them! They’ve been fully booked since they launched and the feedback has been superb confirming that Peckforton Castle truly is an enchanting hotel in the heart of Cheshire.”
Each new room boasts exquisite interior design with stylish soft furnishings and striking wall art produced by Cheshire photographers Ashford Daly, plus a full en-suite bathroom with cosy underfloor heating, an indulgent slipper bath and practical walk in shower.
On the first floor of this newly renovated part of the Castle a soothing blue colour scheme is carried throughout the two executive rooms Bunbury and Bickerton and a double de-luxe Spurstow, which interconnects with Bickerton as required.
On the second floor the impressive Tollemache Suite – named after Lord Tollemache who commissioned the building of Peckforton Castle in the 1840s and then used it as his family home for many years – follows a warm red and orange theme and features two entrances, a full lounge, dining area, generous desk space, a stunning four poster bedroom and a full bathroom. With views over the Castle’s Ward it offers a superb vantage point for the rest of the venue.
Also on the second floor and following the same colour scheme is a further extravagant four poster – Bentley – plus two executive rooms, Huxley and Bulkeley, with the option to connect Huxley with Bentley if required.
The third floor, which has its own private patio and incredible views, lends itself perfectly to exclusive hire and features a serene beige and brown colour scheme. Beeston is a divine four poster room with views stretching out over the Cheshire Plains that take in Beeston Castle in the distance. Kelsall and Tattenhall are two executive rooms with Kelsall interconnecting with Beeston as required.
Chris adds: “We’ve used the best of everything in the rooms so they’re all first class. The fabrics, colour schemes, lighting, bathrooms, wall art, everything is exactly how we wanted it to be, fit for kings and queens.”
