By donating Ad Space on their local maps, Menehune Maps is making
it possible for local charities to reach out and increase awareness.
Online PR News – 25-March-2014 – Maui, Hawaii – Menehune Maps of Maui, Hawaii, recently announced their support for three major Charitable Organizations. They are supporting: The Maui Humane Society, Ocean Defenders, and The Surfrider Foundation of Maui. Management reports that they are doing this in appreciation of the communities support over the years, and would like to give something back to the community. In order to raise awareness for these charities, they are donating advertising space to charities on their South Maui area map, which is circulated to over 20,000 people per month.
Menehune Map’s goal is to help these local charities to increase their reach and community awareness, especially the charities with visitor volunteer programs. These types of programs are very rewarding to visitors while on vacation and help the charities gain valuable volunteers and raise awareness of their mission.
The Maui Humane Society has a special program every Wednesday and Thursday at 1:00pm. The “Helping Paw” Visitors Program gives area visitors a chance to stop by the shelter and lend a hand. The Maui Hawaii Surf Rider Foundation has a visitor’s “Lend a Hand” program that focuses on the care and installation of the native plants. Many non-native plants have been replaced with native species adapted to the dry coastal environment. These plants are now thriving and helping to secure the shoreline. The Ocean Defenders Alliance is working for a debris free sea. Their cause is dedicated to eliminating dangerous man-made debris which poses a serious threat to ocean wildlife and habitants.
Menehune Maps is a locally owned and operated business that focuses on providing quality maps for visitors on Maui. During a recent interview Jessica Daniel, Director of Marketing for Menehune Maps, had this to say: “Menehune Maps was founded with the intention of providing local businesses a way to advertise that’s both successful and affordable. We’ve had an outstanding response from businesses since it’s founding, so we really wanted to take some space this year and really try to help our community out. That’s just part of being a local business on Maui – and sharing the Aloha.
