SunSeeker UltraSlim Patio Doors Open at Caffè Nero in Lymington

Caffè Nero in Lymington High Street has been extended at the rear of the building and opens to a patio area. SunSeeker UltraSlim retractable sliding glass doors were chosen as “a cost effective, attractive solution”.

Online PR News – 18-March-2014 – 28 February 2014, Lymington – Customer seating capacity at Caffè Nero has been increased by an extension to the rear of the building which also opens to a new patio area by means of a set of retractable sliding glass doors, UltraSlim from SunSeeker Doors.

British designed and manufactured UltraSlim patio doors have enabled customers at Caffè Nero in Lymington High Street to enjoy an abundance of natural light at the rear of the establishment - and also provides easy access to the patio area.

The Grade-2 listed 3-storey building in Lymington High Street, with it's enchanting Georgian façade, is owned by Toadhole Investments Ltd. of Nottingham. Caffè Nero has occupied the ground floor of the building since 2006.

Steve Butler of Toadhole Investments says that "the title of the site dates back to the 17th Century". He added that a “decision was based on wanting to open up the end of the café extension into the south-facing patio area. SunSeeker provided a cost-effective, attractive solution.”

SunSeeker UltraSlim Doors are CE-compliant double-glazed sliding doors that can be installed across an opening of several metres. Unlike traditional sliding doors, UltraSlim can also pivot open. This means that each door can rest against the side of the aperture, leaving virtually the whole width of the opening accessible for walking through, enabling inside and outside areas to blend almost seamlessly. A standard opening glass door is included for normal use, when closed. Ultra slim aluminium frames at the sides of the glazing allow maximum natural light-flow to the inside.

Caffè Nero specialises in top quality Italian blend of coffees and their coffee houses have a relaxed atmosphere, in contrast to some ‘grab-it-and-go’ coffee chains. Food is Italian ‘Deli’ style – Panini sandwiches and wraps, ‘Viennoiserie’ pastries directly from France (croissant, pain au raisin, pain au chocolat), muffins, cakes, cookies, pasta, soups, salads and even freshly made porridge.

The extension architect was Wendy Perring of local architects, PAD Studio. Wendy designed the contemporary extension for the listed building and achieved planning permission on behalf of the owners. Draycotts, the surveyors, and builders Belmore Building Contractors Ltd., are local to Lymington, Hampshire. SunSeeker Doors’ in-house teams manufactured and installed the made-to-measure patio doors.

SunSeeker Doors designs, manufactures and installs retractable glass doors for the UKresidential and small commercial market.
