Online PR News – 20-August-2009 – – W3 Insights is urging local technology companies to follow in its footsteps and enter the 5th ICT Excellence Awards sponsored by the Advantage West Midlands ICT Cluster. The awards honour the best technology companies region wide, and with an abundance of local talent in Wolverhampton, the area has a good chance of success.
Wolverhampton’s W3 Insights was honoured in the 2008 awards twice where it secured Best Private Sector Project Award and received a Highly Commended recognition in the Best Innovative Service Award category for its Cassandra service to education.
W3 Insights has a formidable list of clients including schools and local authorities across most of the UK including Northern Ireland. W3 Insights provides education establishments with online systems to measure and change student attitudes to learning as well as sampling the views of parents and teachers. The company is the UK market leader - at any one time working with more than 3,000 schools and 100 local councils. Its work has been internationally recognised as making an effective contribution to raising student attainment, attendance, aspiration and mental health. The development of its recent award-winning "Cassandra" technologies has allowed it to diversify into supporting schools in integrating their data systems to extract meaningful information from a wide array of data sources including attitudes, attainment, attendance etc.
Dr Glen Williams, CEO of W3 Insights encourages local companies to enter: “Benefits include greater exposure, the value of the independent recognition for new, original work which can "open doors" in terms of new commercial opportunities and increased motivation and morale for staff. Other companies could enjoy similar benefits but also find the experience of preparing and presenting before the
Advantage West Midlands judging panel a challenging, constructive and supportive process”.
The free to enter IT awards recognise top technology companies for outstanding achievements to the industry. The winners will be announced at the evening ICT Excellence Awards event following the annual ICT Conference on 10th November 2009, which is being held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Bickenhill, Solihull.
