STEPHEN HOWARD TO PARTICIPATE IN NBA CARES SPECIAL OLYMPICS UNIFIED SPORTS BASKETBALL GAME

Former NBA and college basketball standout Stephen Howard participated in the 3RD Annual NBA Cares Special Olympics Unified Sports Basketball Game on Sunday, February 16th at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Online PR News – 28-February-2014 – New Orleans, Louisiana – Stephen Howard participated in the Third Annual NBA Cares Special Olympics Unified Sports Basketball Game on February 16th. This event brought NBA and WNBA Players, Legends and Special Olympics Athletes from Across the Globe to Participate in a Unified Sports Game. The game combines athletes both with and without intellectual disabilities as teammates to help unite communities and foster an environment of acceptance and inclusion.

At the game, both Stephen and Dell Curry performed the Honorary Ball Tip with one East and one West Unified Game athlete. Some athletes (not a complete list) involved were, Kevin Love, Dikembe Mutombo, Tim Hardaway Jr., Tamika Catchings and Ron Harper.
