17 students emerged winners at Techknow 2014; get an opportunity to become entrepreneurs

With the motto as “Innovation to Implementation”, the two day national seminar TechKnow 2014 at Anna University organized by All India Manufacturer’s Organsiation in partnership with Anna University , concluded today with the valedictory function and award presentation

Online PR News – 28-February-2014 – 26/02/2014 Tamil Nadu/ Chennai – by Prof Dr. H. Devaraj, Vice Chairman, UGC India , in the presence of Prof.Dr.M.Rajaram , Vice Chancellor of Anna University . The two day seminar had a lineup of 9 important sessions and over 30 eminent speakers from all over India , who motivated and imparted relevant knowledge needed for successful entrepreneurship.
With 4000 projects submitted for evaluation under various categories and around 400 delegates attending the two day session, Techknow 2014 demonstrated the growing desire of the young minds to choose the path to explore entrepreneurship.
A panel of jury members consisting of academicians, industrialists and professionals evaluated the projects. 750 projects were filtered in the first round (out of the 4000 projects) which was further evaluated on various parameters. 70 projects were selected and the students were given the opportunity to personally present their project to the jury. From this , 17 projects were identified from various categories for Awards and the students would also get an opportunity to scale up their project with support from the partner enterprises.
The top 3 projects from each of 9 categories including Electronics and Communications, construction and infrastructure, energy optimization, automation and robotics, healthcare and biotechnology, information technology, food and agriculture, environmental and sustainability and transportation and logistics were selected and rewarded with cash prize.
