Frank Moskowitz, an attorney and co-founder of the law firm Berk & Moskowitz, P.C., was recently selected to be the chair of the Maricopa County Bar Foundation.
The Maricopa County Bar Foundation is the charitable arm of the Maricopa County Bar Association, the largest voluntary bar association in Arizona. The foundation’s mission is to support the justice-related public service and educational activities of the Maricopa County Bar Association and other organizations, and to support local pro bono legal service providers that serve low-income residents of Maricopa County.
Among other programs, the foundation has supported the Probate Legal Assistance Program (P.L.A.P.), which assists low-income families who need help going through probate after the death of a loved one, and Legal Assistance to Woman & Shelters (L.A.W.S.), which provides free legal clinics to women at homeless and domestic violence shelters. In addition, the foundation offers scholarships to law students.
“I am very excited to continue my support of the Maricopa County Bar Foundation by serving as the chair. This foundation does so much good in the county and depends in large part on the contributions of the local and legal communities. I encourage other legal professionals in the area to lend their support by donating their time or financial aid,” said Moskowitz.
