Winter Class of 2014 Recognized for Contributions to the Cybersecurity Community

Twice each year an exemplary group of longstanding ISSA members are recognized in three categories: Senior Members, Fellows and Distinguished Fellows. Senior Member honors established cybersecurity professionals with ten or more years of experience for their contributions to the security community and commitment to the mission of the association.

Michael Scheidell is a Certified CISO, Senior Member IEEE, Corporate Information Risk Management and Privacy Expert and has worked with large multinational corporations in government, finance, manufacturing and health care.
A recognized expert in the information security and privacy community with a strong history of innovation and entrepreneurship, Mr. Scheidell has helped with and sponsored the local ISSA Chapter since 2006 and is a frequent conference speaker at local and regional Information Security meetings. Scheidell is a subject matter expert in Information Security, Governance Risk, Compliance and has worked to secure US critical infrastructure such as Rail, Transportation and Utility companies.
As CTO in a previous company, Mr. Scheidell developed a patented Intrusion Detection system, an award-winning email encryption and security solution.
