Summarised on the Speak First website: "Personal effectiveness is about what you do, how you do it and when you do it. It’s about doing the right things right." This 2-hour informative and interactive session explores techniques to achieve personal and professional objectives, including improving personal communication, assertiveness and time management.
The ‘bite size’ course focuses on what gets in the way of personal effectiveness and how to overcome these obstacles by addressing self-management, task-management and relationship-management. It will help you take ownership and responsibility for the way you spend your time and avoiding wasting time on the wrong things.
"Personal effectiveness is not only about managing yourself, it’s also about how we manage other people's expectations." The course addresses the importance of protecting your personal effectiveness from others while managing your workload to avoid getting overwhelmed.
The Personal Effectiveness course is led by Speak First trainer and communication and NLP expert Steve Bavister. After a successful management career in publishing, Steve moved to training, coaching and facilitating for Speak First, where he has transformed the way thousands of people communicate, interact and do business. He is currently writing a book on time management which is due to be published later in the year.
