Zuhlke delivers IT system on schedule for theGrowth Voucher scheme launched today

Another successful Government Agile project awarded under GCloud

Online PR News – 27-January-2014 – London – Zuhlke Engineering is pleased to announce that today the IT system it developed to support the Growth Voucher random controlled trial for the UK Department of Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) has gone live. The web based system supports the whole process from application for grants by small businesses, through to screening, qualification and finally, award. Built into the system is functionality which enables BIS analysts to fine tune the allocation of vouchers and monitor the results of the trial.
The requirements were not fully defined at contract award. Zuhlke applied Agile best practices described in the Government Digital Services Manual to quickly and efficiently gather requirements, build and test the web based service. From contract award, to the system being ready to launch took only 5 months.
“This was our first Government project that was awarded through the GCloud III framework”, said Wolfgang Emmerich, CEO of Zuhlke Engineering Ltd. “Companies like Zuhlke are demonstrating to Government and public organizations that Agile practices can deliver business critical systems and applications cheaper and quicker than traditional approaches have historically been able to.”
“Zuhlke Engineering were very easy to work with”, said Gavin Dollin, Growth Voucher Programme Director. “They delivered a lot of functionality for a modest budget, which has meant more of our £30M is available to stimulate growth in small British businesses”.
