Online PR News – 03-December-2013 – Huntington Beach, CA – Huntington Beach, CA--Simple Green is proud to be the sponsor for the EGBAR Foundation’s largest philanthropic event of the year. The EGBAR Golf Tournament will take place on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Strawberry Farms Golf Club located at 11 Strawberry Farms Road in Irvine, CA 92612.
The EGBAR Foundation supports educational programs across the United States and Canada. With the proceeds from this tournament and a matching contribution from the EGBAR Foundation, we expect to match or surpass contributions over the past two-years which totaled over one quarter of a million dollars in funds distributed to educational institutions.
Tournament participants select the schools which will benefit from this program. Simple Green utilizes its resources to secure volunteers to operate this anticipated and worthwhile event.
In 1989 an environmental and educational partnership was born. CEO and Founder Bruce FaBrizio, and Simple Green, manufacturer of the all-purpose, non-toxic cleaner established the EGBAR Foundation.
In advance of the EGBAR Foundation Golf Tournament, Bruce FaBrizio stated: “This year’s tournament is shaping up to be our best yet. I’d like to thank our participants and sponsors for their support of our children. As they head into the future, I know they will draw inspiration from the generosity displayed here.”
EGBAR is an acronym for Everything’s Gonna Be All Right. The foundation is funded by a percentage of Simple Green sales, and has historically supported community cleanup projects, partnered with an environmental education program utilizing newspapers in the classroom, and provided a national curriculum to teach children about the environment and how to care for it. For the past several years, the foundation has focused on partnering directly with schools. With the support of Simple Green, as well as the generous donations from people all over the world, the EGBAR Foundation is making a difference through leading by example to "Think Globally, Act Locally.”
