Online PR News – 27-November-2013 – Newark/NJ – Customer feedback prompts Home and Garden America to redesign packaging for their Heirloom Seeds 50 Varieties Pack. Heirloom vegetable seeds now come with label on outer package.
Chuck Harmon, Founder and CEO of Charles C Harmon Co LLC, has announced a change in packaging for their 50 Varieties Heirloom Seeds Pack from Home and Garden America. The packaging changes came about as a direct result of customer feedback that helped identify a more user friendly way of packaging the heritage seeds they sell on Amazon.com.
“As part of our ongoing efforts to provide the very best service to our customers, we always go out of our way to ask them for ideas and comments that might help us serve them better. One of the comments that came in more frequently was that we should have our package more clearly marked on the outer packaging for easier identification by the consumer,” Mr. Harmon said.
“We knew that our packaging was top-notch as far as the quality of the packaging because overwhelming customer feedback stated that fact. People have been very impressed with the way in which we package our heirloom seeds so that they are received by the customer in as perfect condition as possible. This includes individually packaging each of the heirloom seeds 50 varieties into zip lock bags in a humidity controlled environment and then inserting them into two bags of heritage seeds, 25 varieties each, with a small desiccant pack to provide continued protection from moisture.”
“The two zip lock bags are then placed into yet another, larger zip lock bag so that all 50 heirloom seeds are together in one unit for ease of handling by the customer once received. This extra care has been noticed and appreciated by the people who have ordered our heirloom seeds whether for immediate use in their garden or for storing away to be used as survival seeds,” he said.
“The one thing that was mentioned though was that the packaging seemed a bit plain, and until you opened the outer package, there was no identifying label showing what was inside the package. We immediately designed and printed a label for the outer packaging that has been received very well by our customers and now we feel that because we listened to them, we will be better able to react to future comments.”
“We can’t stress enough how much we appreciate our great customers who are constantly in touch with us asking for planting, sprouting or storing information and telling us how much they like dealing with such a “high touch” company as ours. Our goal will always be to have a two way communication with our customers because we learn as much, or more, from them as they learn from us.”
