New survey shows promotional products, social media bring effective results
Online PR News – 12-November-2013 – NEW YORK – NEW YORK - PenFactory.com, which specializes in the creation of promotional pens and other products, has unveiled an infographic titled "Promo Products Pay off," highlighting the benefits of using promotional materials to market a product or service. This infographic includes consumer surveys, which also underline the importance of a company marketing itself with promotional items. In addition, the numbers show that branded items prove just as effective as traditional methods, i.e. billboards and radio spots.
“Many do not think about it, but that branded ink pen or coffee mug goes a long way in spreading word of mouth,” said Jose Perez, media liaison for PenFactory.com. “And this is exactly what Pen Factory is working towards - the idea that it takes more than just the traditional sign to reach potential customers.”
According to the infographic, branded apparel like hats and T-shirts comprise nearly one-third of the promotional advertising market. A recent consumer survey revealed that more than 80 percent of those polled keep any promotional items they find useful. In addition, office items are used on average of 50 times a month, while writing instruments are used about 64 times.
Social media also plays a major role; nearly 42 percent admitted to "Liking" a company on Facebook or following a company on Twitter in order to receive promotional products. About 28 percent will make a positive post after receiving the product, and 82 percent said they would take a survey in order to receive a free product.
