A tribute to the purity of design in the images of “Italian design tasting”, Maurizio
Marcatoʼs exhibition that will be exposed at Médinit Expo 2013 in Casablanca

Online PR News – 07-November-2013 – Verona/Italy – Essential spaces, clean lines, constantly evolving perspectives. An innovative look which brings out design objects rigorously made in Italy. This is the concept of Italian design tasting, the exhibition that the photographer Maurizio Marcato will present from 13th to 16th November 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Casablanca (Morocco) on behalf of Medinit Expo 2013, trade fair dedicated to both Italian constructions and interior design.
Eleven photos, selected among a large collection of still-life shots portraying products of different major Italian companies, highlight design objects by following their forms and colors in the representation and production of commercial images of high quality.
In Marcato’s photos the main character is the design object, placed in an apparently white and empty space. Every single detail is indeed designed in such a way that the purity of drawing is respected, and remains intimately linked to the functional aspect of the house. The idea underlying each shot is addressed to the leading role of the product as an element that fills domestic spaces with originality creating unique combinations, be it a table, a chair, or a vase. The observer looks at the object from new perspectives, within a space that opens a window onto a blue sky; these irrational spaces do favour the unmistakeable focus on the central subject of the representation.
The Italian design objects depicted in Maurizio Marcato’s works are branded Alessi, Aliantedizioni, Baleri Italia, B&B Italia, Kose, La Palma, Mdf Italia, Montina Chairs Industry, Rossi di Albizzate, Zerodisegno by Quattrocchio.
