Online PR News – 01-November-2013 – London, UK – We are happy to announce the official release of the E5-v2 series for our dedicated server range. We will still be offering the v1 ones of course, servers that have achieved excellent uptime and performance already.
Clockspeeds and naming conventions have changed slightly, for example the v2 version of the E5-2640
now features 8 cores and 16 threads at a clockspeed of 2 GHz (2.5 GHz Turbo) and a TDP of 95W versus the v1 version which had 6 cores and 12 threads at 2.5 GHz (3 GHz Turbo) only (same TDP, though).
Lithography has moved to 22nm throughout the entire v2 series now as well.
Overall, a considerable performance boost is to be expected from these CPUs, and we can't wait to see them in action!
Dedicated servers with single and dual E5-v2 CPUs are available at the following PoPs:
London, Manchester, Vienna, Prague, and all four PoPs in the US: Fremont, Chicago, Ashburn, and New
During the initial launch period, we will be offering these servers at specially discounted prices, so do contact us for your bespoke quote and solution!
