Artist Returns To Virginia
CMA Nashville Recording Artist Doug Dunn has come home to share some of his music and experiences with the audiences that he cut his musical teeth on. Doug, a native of Virginia Beach has been gone since 2006 and spending his time in Nashville as well as on the road but has returned home. When asked why back to the beach, Doug replied, "well 2 reasons, the first is that my daughter started college this past year and I wanted to be a little closer to her down in Carolina as well as my family in the beach. The second reason is a special woman.
Doug has traveled most of the US performing on numerous national tours, was voted as a STERLING Artist into the Country Music Association in 2005 and into the Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (the Grammy’s) this past year. He has won awards as a songwriter and continues to write as well as publish new material.
Now, Doug has assembled some of Hampton Roads finest talent to back him in "Doug Dunn and the Steel River Band". Musicians include nationally acclaimed guitarist Hanks Martin, Drummer and longtime friend Travis Thompson, Scott Woods on keyboards. A former member of Steel River as well as Molly Hatchet, Trip Johnson on Bass...Trip is also in Revelry and Lynda Zimmerly on backup vocals.
