Key West's top center for tours and information on Key West Dive Center is now offering the latest and most innovative way of exploring the Key West coral reef gardens on the new mini-submarine adventures

Online PR News – 23-June-2010 – – This spring, the Key West Dive Center is offering the newest and most innovative tours that allow guests to explore the teeming coral reef ecosystems of Key West Florida. These new tours, called either the Mini-Sub Adventures or the BOB (Breathing Observation Bubble) Diving Tours, allow guests to navigate their way through areas of the coral reef by using their own underwater scooter-like devices, complete with a personal breathing "bubble."

The tours are one of the most unique way of exploring the underwater environments off the coast of Key West. Unlike Key West diving and snorkeling tours, the mini-sub adventures do not require guests to go underwater with a tank or to breathe through a snorkel tube. Guests instead climb aboard underwater "scooters" and place their heads in a breathing "bubble" that has a steady supply of oxygen. Then they maneuver the devices to move their way through the coral gardens located in 8-12 feet of water.

While Key West snorkeling trips and Key West scuba diving excursions are two of the most popular activities in Key West, these new mini-sub adventures are sure to garner lots of hype and attention, says the Key West Dive Center. Any Key West visitor who is at least 12 year old and at least 4.5 feet tall can easily learn how to navigate the mini subs. They will be able to glide through the underwater gardens swiftly and quickly.

Currently, the Key West Dive Center is offering 3 daily trips on the mini-sub adventures at the introductory price of $125 per person. Each trip is kept to at a maximum number of guests to allow sub users optimal space to navigate through the coral reef gardens.

"We've all tried these new mini-subs and we can definitely testify to just how cool and unique they are," says Mandy Aleman, a reservations agent at the Key West Dive Center. "We really think people are going to love diving into the water and using these unique devices."

The Key West Dive Center also offers a wide variety of tours that take guests out to the wondrous underwater worlds off the coast of Key West. These include Key West scuba diving trips for certified divers, introductory scuba diving courses, Key West snorkeling, and snuba diving.
