JMWest LIVE! Announces October Showcase Lineup

Online PR News – 26-September-2013 – New York – LOS ANGELES, Calif., September 23, 2013 — JMWest LIVE!, presented by Beverly Hills based record label JMWest Entertainment, released the official line up for the October 8th showcase at The Roxy on the Sunset strip. These monthly mini-music festivals showcase up and coming, ripe to sign talent hand-picked by record producer/songwriter, Jean-Michel Soupraya.

The evening will feature an array of musical genres, from hip hop and rap to singer/songwriter and pop stylings. Make sure you order your tickets early at!

Xenia – Originally from the small city of Nakhodka, Russia, pop artist Xenia is quickly making a name for herself in Los Angeles. The talented actress, model and singer recently completed a MA in Film at the New York Film Academy and is in the process of recording her first album with producer Mario Marchetti.

Aaron Joshua Gomez (a.k.a "ajthekid") – Aaron Joshua Gomez is a Los Angeles native rapper looking to introduce his thoughts to the music industry. Growing up in the outskirts of the greater LA area, Aaron was introduced to rhyming by a close friend in middle school. Influenced by his favorite rappers, he vowed to work hard at his craft in hopes of one day living his dreams. He spent long days and nights sharpening his skills in his home studio. Year after year, he continued to progress, using music as an expression of his life experiences and the world around him. After much time interning at different studios as a recording engineer and working with the likes of Tony Maserati, he is now ready to introduce his style with his mixtape "Rhymes In My Pocket." Brandon Bassir – 17 year old singer/songwriter Brandon Bassir grew up in Los Angeles, California. Influenced by multiple genres, he was drawn to Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Queen, Elvis Presley, Theophilus London and Bruno Mars. Brandon began to work as an actor and dancer from a young age, starring in feature films and television. Because of his love of music, he decided to pursue it full time with his producer Emile Ghantous. The two developed a sound together that captures the nostalgia and rich sounds of over 60 years all in one album.

We Ain’t From Memphis – We Ain’t From Memphis is a country rock collective, all hailing from Hollywood, California. The band members—Johnathan Zabawa, Joshua John Becket, Robert Nail and Lionel Medina, Jr.—also all happen to be actors and dancers, bringing a diverse set of skills to the stage. The band was founded in April, 2013 at Cardinal Moon Studios.

Julianne Manalo – Julianne Manalo is a Filipino-American singer, dancer, and actress from San Diego, California. Julianne got her first taste of stardom when she auditioned for the hit show “American Idol,” and advanced as a “Hollywood Week” finalist. Following her experience on Idol, she continued to perform on stage at a number of notable venues such as the legendary House of Blues, Universal Studios' CityWalk, The Viper Room, and the San Diego Padres “Petco Park” Stadium. In 2013, she even had the opportunity to be a part of the opening act for Billboard chart topper, "Macklemore" at the Open Air Theatre. Julianne currently resides in Los Angeles, CA where she continues to write and produce her own original music.

Kelsey Karter – Kels is New Zealand born, Australian-bred pop singer, songwriter, dancer and musician who has started a revolution that you're invited to. Upon graduating high school, Kelsey packed her bags and moved to Los Angeles, in pursuit of making her passion of performing into a career. She has performed on the Kids Choice Awards, LA Fashion Week, Carnival, toured with Disney, and has acted and danced for Christina Milian, Neyo, Kellie Pickler, and David Guetta. In June 2012, Kels released her official music video to her first single "The Revolution," which after five weeks reached over 121,000+ views. The success of her video is just an example of her capabilities and her work ethic. Her music is described as 'dark pop' with a hint of urban and a sprinkle of magic. It's different. It's just KELS.

Ria – Making her way to the indie folk-pop scene, Maria Leone, newly known as Ria, writes music about life, love and everything in between. She enjoys creating emotional connections with her audiences and feels that every person has a story to tell. Her favorite words to live by are, “Everything happens for a reason,” and every person or event that happens in her life reveals as new story to share. Her new album, Love Shadows, is currently in post production and will be released mid to late summer.

Wordspit – Rapper WordSpit has an endless energy, pure passion, and lyrical skill that has caused thousands to chant this mantra at shows across the nation and abroad. WordSpit began buzzing in the 2009 New York underground music circuit through open mics, solo shows, and random freestyle sessions. After seeing how his performances were even more amazing when backed with a live band, WordSpit teamed up with several instrumentalists to form WordSpit and The ILLest. With the release of his previous indie album “The Coolest Bboi Stance” and the anticipation of new music that is soon to be released, WordSpit is ready to take the industry by storm.
