Gorgeous Locks raise £400 for Leukaemia

Hair product website owner raises money for the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research charity

Online PR News – 22-June-2010 – – Jo Robertson, co-owner of hair and beauty product website Gorgeous Locks and hairdressers Harrington Robertson, and her biking buddies took part in the annual Rugby & Coventry Bikeathon for Leukaemia on Sunday 13th June.

Despite a grey start, the sun eventually shone on the event, which was held to raise cash for the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research charity. And around 1,000 cyclists took on a 10, 26 or 50-mile ride between the two locations.

Jo and her buddies completed 26 miles, her 11 year old son George completed 10 miles and her husband Andy completed an impressive 50 miles!

Jo said "It was a great day with an amazing atmosphere and we all really enjoyed it, next year we will go for the 50 mile and try and raise even more money" Jo added "We would like to thank all of our clients, both from Gorgeous Locks and Harrington Robertson, for sponsoring us and giving support."

This is another addition to Jo Robertson’s staggering charity work, as she has been involved in a number of charity events – including hosting a successful Cocktail Party for the Breakthrough breast cancer charity in 2009 – and hopes to continue her charity work throughout the rest of 2010.
