Eastpointe and Sandhills Center Partner to Perform Claims Adjudication

Partnership leads the way in creating a cost-effective method to streamline claims processing for publicly-funded behavioral healthcare providers

Online PR News – 25-September-2013 – Buelaville/West End, NC – The NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) implemented NC Tracks, the new multi-payer Medicaid Management Information System, effective July 1, 2013, terminating the previous state contract with HP Enterprises. As a direct result of that decision, the claims adjudication process contract between HP Enterprises and Sandhills Center will cease effective September 30, 2013.

Following extensive discussion with potential vendors, Sandhills selected to transfer its Medicaid claims adjudication process to Eastpointe LME/MCO. Eastpointe has a proven track record for processing Medicaid claims in North Carolina, and uses the same Netsmart software system as Sandhills Center. Sandhills Center is updating their current system to duplicate Eastpointe’s Medicaid claims set up. Providers will continue to use the Sandhills Center computer system to bill Medicaid claims. Eastpointe will adjudicate the Medicaid claims directly into the Sandhills Center system.
