Justice League to visit Kids' Carnival at ISU Family Day

The Ryves Community Optimist Club will host a Kids' Carnival and Corh Hole Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 14 during Family Day at ISU's Memorial Stadium.

Online PR News – 06-September-2013 – Terre Haute, IN – The Ryves Community Optimist Club will host its 3rd Annual Corn Hole Tournament and Kids’ Carnival on Saturday, September 14 at the ISU Memorial Stadium during Indiana State University's Family Day.
“This is great family event at ISU's Memorial Stadium for the football game, and we'll have a fun area for the kids to enjoy. All of the proceeds from this event will benefit children who live in the Ryves community,” states Marsha Bialaszewski, President of the Club.

EVENTS OF THE DAY:
10:30AM Register for the Corn Hole Tournament (until 11:15am)

11:00AM Begin serving food: funnel cakes, cotton candy, and Pepsi products
Kids' Carnival opens

11:30AM Corn Hole Tournament begins

There is an entry fee of $50 per two person team, and teams can register in advance by email at klotzt@yahoo.com. Registration on the day of the event is from 10:30 to 11:30am. There are cash and prizes worth over $300 for teams to win.
The Club is also looking for tournament sponsors; sponsor information can be obtained at klotzt@yahoo.com.

Club members will be serving up funnel cakes, cotton candy and Pepsi products, and there will be games at the Kids’ Carnival for chances to win exciting prizes. The games will be 50 cents per ticket or 3 tickets for $1.00.

Children will get a real treat this year, when members of the Justice League visit the Kids' Carnival, including Batman, Batgirl, and Superman. "There may be a few more League members show up to surprise the kids," stated member Jim Pinkstaff.

The Ryves Community Optimist Club was chartered on June 14, 2011 in response to the needs of the children in the Ryves Neighborhood. They operate year-round to assist with fundraising and projects for children living in the Ryves Neighborhood, such as a socks-and-underwear drive for needy students at Franklin Elementary School, to purchasing additional security cameras for Ryves Youth Center.

“There are many needy children in the neighborhood – our Optimist Club looks for opportunities to help raise money for needed projects in this area,” said Sylvester Edwards, President-Elect of the Club.
