Online PR News – 06-September-2013 – Chicago, IL – A prominent Chicago law firm, Fichera & Miller, founded by Dominic R. Fichera and Howard S. Miller, both ranked in the National Trial Lawyer's Top 100, announced hiring two attorneys to help continue its position as a law firm of Chicago's premiere trial attorneys.
Among those hired is attorney, Joseph P. Lupinacci, and recent law school graduate and applicant for admission to the Illinois State Bar, Jack C. Marshall.
Mr. Lupinacci came to Fichera & Miller as an experienced litigation attorney with a history of handling complex breach of contract and warranty actions, securities litigation, insurance coverage disputes, civil appeals, foreign and domestic airline negligence claims, products and premises liability actions and medical malpractice.
Mr. Lupinacci started his legal practice as the Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Charles R. Winkler and the Honorable Joan E. Powell of the Commercial Calendar of the Law Division in the Circuit Court of Cook County. Previously, he had the privilege of clerking for the Chief Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court, Marilyn J. Kelly.
In addition to his law degree, Mr. Lupinacci received his Masters of Business Administration, which has afforded him the opportunity to understand multiple aspects of a commercial dispute, the concerns of his clients, and the likely claims and defenses of his adversaries.
As an active member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Justinian Society of Lawyers, the Judicial Evaluation Committee of the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association, Mr. Lupinacci is honored to work alongside a highly reputable network of this country’s finest attorneys.
Mr. Marshall has experience in virtually all areas of personal injury and wrongful death litigation, including automobile accidents, plane crashes, boat crashes, premises liability, toxic torts, construction negligence, and intentional torts.
Before joining Fichera & Miller, Mr. Marshall worked at Romanucci & Blandin, LLC, a prominent plaintiff’s personal injury and workers’ compensation firm in Chicago. There, Mr. Marshall assisted in litigating dozens of personal injury and workers’ compensation cases where victims were injured through the negligence of others. Notably, he assisted in litigating several high-profile cases, including the hazing scandal at Maine West High School, the plane crash that killed Mexican pop star Jenni Rivera, and a boating accident in Michigan that resulted in the death of a nine year-old girl.
Mr. Marshall is a Chicago native and received his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While in law school, he clerked for several commercial litigation firms practicing bankruptcy and foreclosure law.
Additionally, Mr. Marshall was in the Chicago-Kent Moot Court Honors Society, where he won the Evan A. Evans Constitutional Law Competition in Madison, Wisconsin, beating 25 teams from across the country.
