Online PR News – 05-September-2013 – Glasgow – Samsung owners that are waiting on their phones being updated to the latest version of Android continue to be disappointed in a lack of news from the Korean manufacturer. The updated version of Jelly Bean will update on Nexus branded devices first before then being rolled out on other devices. While the likes of Sony have, at least, kept their owners informed of when the updates will arrive, Samsung Galaxy S3 owners have been left largely in the dark regarding exactly when the updates will arrive.
Android 4.3 was first expected to arrive on the Samsung S3 in June but this was delayed until July. While the month isn’t yet over, owners are more than a little worried that it will pass without sight nor sound of the new Android operating system version and their worries seem more than a little justified. The updates would affect S3 owners, as well as owners of the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini and this amounts to a lot of disgruntled Samsung smartphone owners.
Samsung recently announced record profits and have overtaken Apple as the most profitable smartphone manufacturer. They are also the largest TV company in the world but they are certainly not without their detractors. While most Samsung Galaxy SIII owners are content with their devices there are a growing number that feel disheartened at the lack of contact and communication from the most profitable smartphone manufacturers. The most recent official announcement on the matter is that Samsung UK will confirm upgrades in the coming months.
Android 4.3 isn’t a brand new operating system and it doesn’t include a whole new redesign but it does offer some new features and major upgrades to the existing software. Since version 4.2 it has been possible to have multiple profiles but these will be much more customisable in Android 4.3. Samsung S3 owners will be able to lock apps, have user specific app settings, and more once they do finally receive the update.
Gamers will also really appreciate the upgrade. A Galaxy S3 Sim Free is already a reasonably good choice for gaming, especially consider its discounted price when compared to the likes of the S4. On the new Android platform it will also be possible to enjoy improved textures, lens flare, and reflections. The changes may not sound like much but when seen in action, they represent major improvements over the original Android operating system. While the likes of the Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 have already seen these upgrades, Samsung owners are still waiting.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 has been replaced by the Samsung Galaxy S4 but it remains one of the most popular handsets on the market. It has a powerful processor and high end screen, plays some of the latest games and apps, and enables users to stream and watch HD content, play HD games, and to enjoy some of the very latest smartphone features highly sought after by both professional and consumer users.
