The Pinderfields team implanted two Prometra systems this month. One was a revision of an underperforming pump from another manufacturer and the other was a new patient for intrathecal baclofen therapy. Both patients are progressing well.
The Pinderfields team is joining at least two other hospitals, in the UK and Eire in the multi-centre Evergreen Study in movement disorders. The Prometra has CE approval for the treatments of chronic intractable pain and the management of severe spasticity.
The neurosurgical and rehabilitation teams at Pinderfields Hospital are delighted with the relationship they have been building with Flowonix as well as with the highly accurate and long lasting technology Flowonix have developed in the Prometra.
For us it is the benchmark technology in the field and we are looking forward to working with Flowonix to treat suitable patients as well as collaborating with them in research to further develop current and new therapies.
