Touchless Touch, the original software that turns any surface into a touch screen has just been given a massive upgrade since its first appearance last year.
Online PR News – 26-August-2013 – – The software uses the one or more Kinect and/or OpenNI/Primesense sensors turn any flat surface into a touch screen.
Unique to Touchless is the positioning of the sensors, which are placed around the edge of the surface, which not only increases the accuracy, but also improves reliability, as it is harder to stand in the way of the sensor.
Rob Smith, creator of the software has been working in the Digital Signage, Interactive Kiosk and Touch Screen industry for the last 10 years said “I was surprised at just how much large touch screens can cost, making them impractical for some budgets. I wanted to create a product using off-the-shelf hardware that was cost very effective, thus Touchless Touch was born.”
Supporting 128 touch points, and surfaces over 200 inch, Touchless Touch is available as free trial from the website for Windows 7 and Windows 8. The product retails online at $59.99 USD, which includes unlimited free updates.
