Sankalp presented a street play broadly covering the topics of female infanticide and women empowerment. The play showed the injustice done to women, the oppression and the climax also showed how women and men of today should unite to fight against women oppression and stand for women empowerment.

The actors performed with great zest and passion which struck a chord with the audience.

Brigadier Beniwal praised the Director of the play and said that such events should be encouraged and frequently staged. Mrs Beniwal commented ‘Since the men in the troops mostly come from rural backgrounds, they have certain biasness and thought process for the ladies in their family. This was a great way to pass a message and make them understand the importance of women empowerment’.
