The Authors guild of Tennessee which is comprised of several known authors will be making an appearance on Saturday, September 14th from 1:00-3:00pm at Mr. K's Books and CD's in Oak Ridge, TN.

Online PR News – 23-August-2013 – Oak Ridge, TN – On Saturday September 14th from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm people will have an opportunity to meet some of Tennessee's brightest and best authors, all of which are members of the newly formed Authors Guild of Tennessee.

The Authors Guild of Tennessee is a group of independent authors working together to promote the books they have written, and to share their genres with readers of all tastes. The members of AGT sell and autograph their books at various venues.

Mr. K's Used Books and CD's has five locations and is an extremely popular destination for bibliophiles, movie aficionados and audiophiles of all types. This event will take place at their Oak Ridge, Tennessee store located at 374 S. Illinois Avenue in Oak Ridge (865) 483-8659.

Mary Dabir of Mr. K's said, “We are thrilled to have so much local talent on sale at our store. We are always trying to make shopping more interesting to our patrons, and to be able to get autographed books certainly adds a level of fun for our shoppers.”

Sam Bledsoe, administrator for the Authors Guild added, “This is exactly the type of venue we are seeking. It provides an opportunity for the authors to meet the people who will be reading their books and directly talk to them about new projects in the works.”

According to AGT, the reading experience is enhanced by getting to know the author personally along with details about the book that are not usually known. The author benefits from feedback with direct email links to stay involved with their readers.

Bledsoe, the author of The Last Senoobians: Life and Death in Sector 3309, stated, “We consider our writing to be a collaboration, or shared experience, between writer and reader that makes it more satisfying for both. By making the books of several authors available in one place, the public has a plethora of titles and genres to choose from. In addition, they are supporting local writers from our state.”

The guild continues to grow and offer new authors such as Dr. Kathleen Fearing, Don Pardue and Joe Moore, to name but a few.

Moore, who is the author of Believe Again, The North Pole Chronicles and Faith, Hope & Reindeer, published through The North Pole Press said, “I am extremely excited to be part of this group. They represent some wonderful authors and genres, and I believe my books add another layer of diversity to the works already offered by these fine wordsmiths.”

Visitors to the Authors Guild of Tennessee website can learn more about each author personally, and view the culmination of their works, along with their published books that will be offered for sale at Mr. K's.
