Online PR News – 08-August-2013 – London – XOR, a leading provider of specialist consultancy, integration and support services to the UK IT channel, has been acquired by Company85, an independent UK-based consulting firm. The move immediately broadens their combined service portfolio and partner base.

XOR is based in Watford. It was nominated as Employer of the Year at the 2012 BCS UK IT Awards and was ranked 17th by Deloitte in its Fastest-Growing UK Technology Companies survey 2012. Headquartered in London, Company85 is the current BCS Small IT Supplier of the Year; it delivers product-enablement services and agnostic consulting around cyber security, backup, storage and IT transformation on behalf of its partners.

The two companies have complementary service portfolios, with minimal overlap. Through the acquisition Company85 gains access to XOR’s expertise in workspace solutions, while Company85’s virtual on-demand consulting teams will help XOR’s partners deliver more professional services business – including pre-sales consultancy, design, implementation, product optimisation and managed services – to the disciplines and standards of global consultancies.

Premkumar Subramanian, Managing Director, XOR, said: “This move is great news for XOR and our customers. Company85’s pedigree is exceptional, and we’re delighted to be working with people who are so experienced professionally and who understand the channel so well.”

Adrian Spink, CEO, Company85, said: “This is Company85’s first acquisition and it’s a huge milestone. XOR shares our optimistic, entrepreneurial outlook, and we’re delighted to welcome it into the Company85 family.

“Company85 has a healthy balance sheet and strong cash reserves, which we continually reinvest in growing our business. Since Company85 was established, nearly three years ago, our growth has been steady and organic at a time when many London-based IT firms are retrenching. This acquisition represents a step change in our growth strategy, and it will enable Company85 to scale services even more rapidly.”

Company85 is an independent IT consulting firm specialising in information protection and transformation. Headquartered in London, it provides advisory, implementation and managed services to FTSE100 clients and public sector organisations across the UK, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the US.
