Piccolo Chef visits the Los Angeles Public Library Memorial Fund to show families and kids the value of healthy living in a fun and exciting way
Online PR News – 01-August-2013 – Los Angeles, CA – On Thursday, July 25, the Los Angeles Public Library Memorial Fund teamed up with Piccolo Chef to host a Children’s Summer Reading Club Special Program. Kids in attendance participated in a live Italian Pasta Cooking Class with International Celebrity Chef, Chef Gino (Disney Channel) and got a chance to win a free copy of the Piccolo Chef Cookbook.
Co-founder of Piccolo Chef, Tina Fanelli Moraccini, describes an inspiring experience: “I attended as a spectator this time with my children, along with my best friend and her children. I didn’t know what to expect from the crowd of children that were there, since this event took place at a library as part of their summer reading program and these were not our students, but guests of the library. I have to say that as the co-founder of this school, sitting incognito in the audience – I knew then why we started Piccolo Chef years ago. The “ooohs” and “aaaahs” from the children when Chef Gino rolled out the fresh pasta, the wonderment on their faces, the cheers of joy as the pasta became thinner and thinner becoming a fettuccine from a lump of egg and flour - it was all I could do not to get emotional over the sheer happiness and laughter of the children as they learned the different pasta names (because only Chef Gino could turn a lesson on pasta into that much fun!). I left feeling pretty good about Piccolo Chef, and what we’ve been able to bring to our local children.”
