Srimatesh.K at Rotary House of Friendship, Lavelle Road, Bengaluru. The occasion was graced by Mr Madan Padaki, Co-founder & Executive Chairman of Head Held High and Rtn. Jayashree Ramesh, Assistant Governor. With the installation ceremony, Rotary E-Club announced its projects for the year 2013. Eye Screening:
Rotary E-Club of Bangalore is partnering with a leading health care provider & Ophthalmology experts to reach out to over 1.5 lacs school children under the eye screening program. Once the screening is complete, the data will be collected and children who require detailed examination will be identified and referred for further treatment. This smart school eye screening program is designed adopting latest technologies for conducting 3 Tests being:
• Visual Acuity Assessment
• Stereopsis
• Photorefraction using the PlusOptix™ Vision Screener
Integrated Village Development:
Rotary E-Club of Bangalore, envisions a Community Model for Sustainable Use of Resources and Viable Livelihoods. The challenges affecting communities in the developing world are numerous and complex. Rotary E-Club has identified Dalasanuru village in Kolar district, where some of the core issues need to be addressed. While the first has step has been to provide learning aids to the govt. Primary school children, a lot more is planned to improve the quality of education in the village. Rotary E-Club has a long –term plan covering:

1. Setting up of RO plant to ensure safe drinking water
2. Economic empowerment
3. Better Sanitation
4. Better Healthcare
