PennySaverUSA.com, has launched a contest to find a deserving “SaverTime Hero(ine)”— someone who has inspired others during these tough economic times. Entries will be accepted online until August 7, 2009.

The winner will split the $500 cash prize with the person who nominated him/her and will also be included in an upcoming issue of PennySaverUSA / The Flyer which mail to over 11 million addresses.

The contest is named after PennySaverUSA.com’s first music video, “SaverTime,” a humorous take on MC Hammer’s classic rap/hip-hop hit “U Can’t Touch This” that focuses on the power of PennySaver deals. It was originally created to inspire internal employees, but was released to the public earlier this month.

In only two weeks, the “SaverTime” music video has already received over 5,500 views on YouTube alone and stars the President of PennySaverUSA.com, Loren Dalton, who also wrote the lyrics and led the creation of the piece.
