The annual Soccer Fest “ Shoot The Rain -5” is one such endeavor promoted by the Tourism professionals club. Scheduled to be conducted on the 3rd and 4th July 2010 at the Fort Kochi Parade Grounds, this sports meet will bring together many soccer teams from all over Kerala. Conducted every year during the monsoon season, it has become a regular feature in the Kerala monsoon tourism.
Last year 28 teams participated in the 'Rain 4 Soccer Fest match' and was a huge success. Various travel operators in the city including Karma Kerala had actively supported and promoted the event, which lead to its stupendous success and mass appeal

Of late Kerala has become an all season destination with no marked off season. The Kerala Monsoons have generated much interest among the tourist community and many overseas travelers choose a trip in the monsoon season to enjoy the romantic milieu of the tropical rainy season. Even the Kerala tourist Department has come up with innovative monsoon promotion packages this year as part of their dream season campaign to attract more tourists and to give it a better publicity”
The registration for 'Shoot The Rain – 5' has started and the soccer teams can register till 10th June 2010, where the teams will fight it out for the Dominic Joseph Memorial Ever Rolling Trophy in the rain soaked grounds of Fort Kochi, which will add to the thrills and spills of this game, which has a huge fan following in Kerala.
