Holiday Inn Dubai Al Barsha acknowledged the sterling support of its staff by hosting the ‘Celebrate Service Week’ from June 9 to 13.
Every one of the hotel’s 261-strong staff – from chefs to concierges, housekeeping to hotel management – was thanked and feted for the extra mile that each one traversed to bring that glowing smile on the face of each of the hotel’s treasured guests.
The ‘Celebrate Service Week’ – an initiative launched by IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) and its Owners’ Association, the IAHI, – is designed to give back to their people who work tirelessly every day to keep guests satisfied and happy.
Worldwide, across all the Group’s 4,400 properties, the occasion is a unique celebration of the invaluable role of 345,000 people – associates of the Group. The company’s remarkable growth would not have been possible without their enthusiasm and dedication day in and day out.
At Holiday Inn Dubai Al Barsha, the event exuded heartfelt gratitude and commendation due to every single staff member – each one a priceless associate of the hotel.
Mrs. Salima Hussaini, Director of HR and Training, said: “These events are one way of saying that their hard work has not gone unnoticed. ‘Celebrate Service Week’ is our chance to join forces with all the other Holiday Inn hotels around the world to rejoice with our people and honour their dedication.”
Transforming themselves into a team of blue, staffers decorated the workplace with congratulatory posters and signs expressing appreciation. In fact, the entire week saw the hotel’s management team expressing their admiration for their co-associates. Starting the week with a delightful lunch, the associates were treated to lip-smacking delicacies and a special ‘Celebrate Service’ cake by way of saying a sweet thank-you to all.
A photo shoot that followed captured the team in blue in a “Star” formation resplendently representing the hotel’s tagline “The 4-Star Hotel with The 5-Star Look”.
An adventurous dune bashing trip to Desert Safari kicked off a fun-filled second day of the ‘Celebrate Service Week’. After rollicking rides in the outback desert sands of Dubai, a traditional dinner ensued. The day climaxed with a sensational belly dancing performance – a treat to behold.
The third and fourth days of the ‘Celebrate Service Week’ saw associates daring to take the exhilarating rides of Ferrari World where they shouted their lungs out on the world’s fastest rollercoaster.
The week came to an end with an appreciation tea break at the “Rainbow” colleagues’ canteen, wrapped up by a cooling trip to an ecstasy-filled Wonderland Theme Water Park.
