Online PR News – 08-July-2013 – Cary, NC – Manifestationz Art Gallery, a new fine art gallery located at 201 W. Chatham St. Cary NC (Downtown) announces its Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting on Friday, July 12th at 4:00 pm.
The opening exhibit will highlight the works of several local contemporary artists including Gallery owner Omar Cummings, whose bold colored canvases depict whimsical expressions; Oil Painters of America artist Todd Carignan who intensifies stories of Vietnam on canvas; photographer Beth Jarvah, whose images capture peaceful and majestic scenery created using a composite of images to expose images and share views that cannot be discovered with only one exposure; and Cameron Johnson, Assistant Professor of Drawing and Design at Meredith College who recently received a “Best In Show” and “First Class Painting” at the Illumina Art Exhibition in Greenville NC.
The exhibit also includes works by Nancy Hughes Miller who paints the structural elements of rural and beach landscapes native to her Southeastern North Carolina home; Shelba King whose creative spirit using acrylics and invites the viewer to be unexpectedly intrigued; and ceramics artist Susan Wells of Hillsborough, North Carolina, who is known for her techniques of creating amazingly aesthetic pieces that garnered her an award from Sotheby’s for “Outstanding Work”;
Ronald Tutone, Stephen Hayes, Gina Manning, Taylor Erving, John Wilkins, Karen Santruck and fused glass artist Sandra Wills will also be available to discuss their work.
Manifestionz regularly partners with neighboring wine bar, Unvine’d, for special events. At Cary’s Final Friday, Unvine’d hosts live music and fills itself with Manifestationz art, with a new artist (individual or group) feature each month. When the weather breaks, the walkway connecting the venues will be lined with outdoor art creating a Parisian feel. Its location is ideal for creative cross-pollination considering its proximity to the Cary Innovation Center and Cary School of Music, also located in Old Cary Commons.
Refreshments, wine samples from Unvine’d Wine Bar next door and the neo-soul sounds of the band Soultry will highlight the entertainment.
“What is articulated on Canvas restrictively resonates in our minds. The art itself speaks, will you listen” ~Proprietor Omar Cummings.
