The MCA introduces its newest award winners. 70 products representing 34 companies earned its Mom's Choice Awards Honoring Excellence Seal.
Online PR News – 06-July-2013 – Chesapeake, Virginia – Thanks to its open evaluation cycle, the Mom's Choice Awards introduces educators, librarians, retailers, and parents to the best in family-friendly new products every month, not just specific times of the year or for specific sets of products.
That is just one of the ways the Mom's Choice Awards® distinguishes itself from other awards programs. The company, known for its rigorous, impartial evaluation process, is recognized around the globe and has Honorees in more than 25 countries.
"Buyers want to work with companies who are open to having their products thoroughly evaluated," says Dawn Matheson, Executive Director."That speaks to the copmany's dedication to the things that matter most to educators and families: safety, quality, age appropriateness, accuracy, among others."
The company is often asked if everyone who enters wins an award. "For us is not about winning, it is about earning the trust of consumers and experts," says Matheson. "We are not a pay-for-awards program, so not all products reach the high bar we have set in our standards."
Each product is evaluated by five judges, representing a cross-section of the consumer demographic who would use the product or service, as well as subject matter experts. As an entrepreneur and author herself, Matheson understands the importance of feedback and encouragement. The company does offer feedback to help entrants identify and work on any areas of weakness in their product. They will not, however, identify the judges by name.
