Online PR News – 26-June-2013 – Los Angeles, CA – On Thursday June 27 writing team Brian Pargac and Adam Tsekhman will premiere their new half hour sitcom pilot “Comrades” in Los Angeles. This hilarious cast features: Kareem Grimes (Bones, Castle), Alan Charof (City Slickers), Carol Schlanger (You Don’t Mess with the Zohan), Catherine Kim (Ghosts of Girlfriends Past), Samba Schutte, Mike Kersey, Elspeth Keller, Jeff Hatch and Adam Tsekhman. Produced by Ali Mashayekhi (Piece of Mind).

“Comrades” is “Perfect Strangers” meets “Coming to America”, when the quirky son of a Russian Oligarch moves to America to live life the hard way. Instead, he is forced to live with a conservative rocket scientist, who makes him question everything he thought he knew about the hard life. Adam Tsekhman and Brian Pargac use their diverse background in television and stage to help create broad and quirky comedy, with a fresh twist.

Adam Tsekhman is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business and holds an MFA in Theatre Acting from Columbia University. Adam landed a lead role on the Russian Television sensation “Zona” (“The Russian Oz”) and was nominated for best lead actor in a series at the Monte Carlo International Television Festival. Adam is most recognized from recent work on: The Mentalist, Rizzoli & Isles, How I Met Your Mother, NCIS: LA, among others…

Brian Pargac is a Communications graduate from the University of Texas at Austin, working in television since 2003 as a writer and producer of reality television. Brian has traveled the country producing television about fake billionaires, repentant rappers, and bloodthirsty fighters, to name a few.
