An member of the Academy of science fiction , fantasy and horror confirmed the death of Richard Matheson on Sunday in Los Angles .Richard was just 29 when is wrote I am legend . It was made into the last man on Earth Starring Vincent Price in 1964, Omega man with Charlton and I AM Legend with Will smith in 2007.

Richard Matheson was born in Brooklyn and graduated from University of Missouri with degree in journalism in 1951 . and then after he moved to California .

Richard Matheson was well know for his short stories including Hell house 1953 and Duel in 1971 and they were adapted for screen and T.V shows. Richard Matheson also wrote many episodes for The Hitchook Hour, Twilight Zone , Rod Sterling's Night gallery, the Martian Chronicles and Amazing stories.

Richard Matheson made his film debut in 1956 when he adapted his story The Shrinking Man into Science fiction film classic The Incredible Shrinking Man.
