Online PR News – 04-June-2010 – – Gloucestershire, UK, June 02, 2010 -- Internet World was held for the first year at Earls Court in London and Gloucestershire SEO firm Clear Web Services ( http://www.clearwebservices.com ) went along to see what was hot in the industry in 2010 and beyond.
The show was held between the 27th and 29th of April 2010 and featured many top exhibitors and seminar talks from industry experts on subjects such as social media, e-commerce, SEO, online marketing and web design.
The seminars were very informative with many new subjects discussed as well as some industry favourites such as Twitter, Facebook and the use of online PR.
The one thing that Clear Web services ( http://www.clearwebservices.com ) went away with was a greater understanding of the use of price comparison websites such as Ciao and Shopzilla for clients with e-commerce websites. These price comparison websites are great for attracting new levels of traffic from their regular and ever increasing traffic sources.
Clear Web Services ( http://www.clearwebservices.com ) Managing Director Ian Spencer commented "We have been using price comparison website feeds for a while now but by discussing the possibility of optimising these feeds further to increase click throughs was a real breakthrough, Ciao and Shopzilla couldn’t have been more helpful."
The use of social media was a hot topic at the show with talks from large brands such as Stella Artois and the BBC who discussed how they were using the new web 2.0 phenomenon to market their products and services.
Will Smith from Clear Web Services ( http://www.clearwebservices.com ) commented "At Clear Web we have been using social media for clients helping to spread the brand and product. It is always interesting to see how a corporation such as the BBC uses social media to target the hundreds of thousands. I have come away with a reinforced attitude towards social media and how it can help grow a business, the one thing that hasn’t changed is that unique content is king, something Ian and myself have always believed in".
Internet World was a big success all round with lots of leading industry experts making it an educational one too. It is the sort of show that every web company should go to, to seek new levels of information and find out where the industry is going.
Clear Web Services ( http://www.clearwebservices.com ) based in Gloucestershire will definitely be attending next year to find more contacts within the industry and explore new avenues which will benefit their clients levels of traffic thus increasing sales and enquiries, this has to be a win win situation for everyone involved.
