Systems Integration will be demonstrating a unique label verification solution at MEATUP, due to be held at the NEC Birmingham on the 2nd and 3rd July.
Online PR News – 22-June-2013 – 21st June 2013, Lichfield – The software house has teamed up with Dimaco, an inspection company, to offer meat processors complete label accuracy and pack verification, including promotion labels and label positioning.
MD Rob Stephens stated: “Integreater® works off a central database that stores all weigh, price and outer case label data. When a product is selected to run on the line, Integreater® automatically populates the required data to ‘set up’ the various printing systems in the factory. This information is also sent to Dimaco’s vision system so it is able to scan and verify each pack, checking dates, label type, positioning and promo labels. In addition to verification and validation, the system also provides throughput line performance, ‘packs per minute’ and stoppage time including ‘change over’”.
Peter Mistry from Dimaco added: "Our Veri_PACK on line, inspection and monitoring system works by scanning the retail pack to double check that the right labels, including the promotion label, have been used and are positioned correctly. It also verifies that the data is printed in the correct places and is legible. Images are then recorded and stored centrally by Integreater® which alerts operators to any discrepancies”.
“Together with Systems Integration we are proud to offer this unique, failsafe solution to meat and poultry processors at a time when they are under increased pressure from retailers to ensure complete label accuracy”.
