Connecticut non-profit organizations that support Veterans, community services, the underprivileged and children's health benefited from donations provided by Connecticut's largest independent dealership, A Better Way Wholesale Autos in Naugatuck.
Online PR News – 10-June-2013 – Naugatuck, CT – A Better Way Wholesale Autos, the largest independent dealership in Connecticut, contributed over $12,000 to local non-profit organizations and charities in 2012. "Our goal for 2013 is to contribute even more to local charities that help to make our community a safer, more abundant and healthy place to call home," said Jesse Brown, Marketing Director of A Better Way Wholesale Autos (www.abwautos.com target="_blank" class="highlight_link">http://www.abwautos.com>).
Recipients of Better Way Naugatuck's 2012 donations included a variety of local charities. The company's commitment to Veterans motivated the donations to several Veterans groups that exclusively advocate and care for the needs of Veterans. These recipients were Vietnam Veterans Association, VFW, Support Our Connecticut Veterans and No Vet Left Behind.
The owners of A Better Way Naugatuck have always felt that supporting first responders is of vital importance to the community. Because of this mission, donations were given to Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department, Prospect Police Explorers, Waterbury Police Explorers, Naugatuck Police Union, Fraternal Order of Police and Naugatuck Police Explorers.
In order to contribute to local community services, A Better Way Wholesale Autos donated funds to Winsted Recreation Department and Naugatuck Park and Recreation Department. Additional funds were donated to serve the underprivileged in the community in November when A Better Way Naugatuck gave over $6,000 in gift cards from Stop N Shop, a local grocery store, to families in need of assistance.
"One of the national charities that we donate to is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital because of their commitment to finding cures for childhood diseases and to treat children at no cost," said Brown. "We were honored to receive a thank you note from St. Jude that said in part, 'You have given our children hope for a healthy, happy and productive future, and you have given them a second chance at life.'"
A Better Way, an independent dealership that provides quality pre-owned vehicles at wholesale prices, plans to make 2013 a banner year in charitable contributions. Local non-profit groups can contact the Director of Marketing to inquire about donations.
